Moab and surrounding areas offer some of the most brilliant sandstone climbing in the world, with magical backdrops in every direction. Climbs range in height from 40 to 1000 feet, beginner to intermediate and advanced, single to multi-pitch. Choose one of these exciting locations, or combine them into a multi-day trip:
Climb the sport and traditional single-pitch Navajo rock routes on Potash Road (Wall Street), famous for its ease of access and social scene. Many of these routes are within a few feet of parking areas, and route grades range from beginner to advanced.
Climb above the Colorado River on River Road Dihedrals, amazing crack dihedrals well worth the easy roadside detour. Climb on grades ranging from intermediate to advanced.
Bounce Test, at nearly 1000 feet above the Colorado River, is primarily a low angle slab climbing route with a vertical pitch at the top to make it all worthwhile. This is a true alpine adventure, with moderate climbing and one pitch of intermediate climbing on a large “fin” (picture a sharks fin) near Wall Street. Standing on top of this formation gives you a true appreciation for the beauty of this area.
Revel in the isolation of secluded Kane Creek. This canyon offers classic moderates, textbook crack climbs, and an enormous 160-foot tower chimney route, with camping a stone’s throw from the climbing routes. Climbing ranges from beginner to advanced.
