Vail rock climbing adventures with Apex welcome beginner, intermediate and advanced ability climbers on a variety of Colorado granite and sandstone rock climbing routes. These routes range in height from 35 to 90 feet, and approaches are generally within 5 minutes from the car.
At one of our two private Vail climbing areas tailored to first time climbers and climbers with limited experience, you’re sure to have your own spot on the rock with private climbing instruction. Or, take your climbing to the next level on intermediate and advanced routes.

All age, ability, and fitness levels welcome. No experience necessary. Apex provides all technical gear (helmet, harness, rock climbing shoes, belay device, etc.) for your outing with us.
As the largest full service Mountaineering School and Guide Service in Vail, Colorado, we also facilitate activities for groups of up to 200 people. Rock Climbing is a fun and rewarding activity for individuals, couples, families, friends, and large groups.
Rappelling as well as indoor climbing are alternative options for a different adrenaline rush!
