Andrew Keck

Andy started skiing on the icy rolling hills of Pennsylvania. At first chance, he loaded all his belongings into an old pickup and drove to a somewhat random spot on a map in Colorado. Years later he would see “Aspen Extreme” and chuckle.

Over the years, Andy transformed his passion for backcountry skiing from a recreational to a professional perspective. He worked for 10+ years as a guide, instructor, and forecaster for multiple outfitters throughout Colorado, Idaho, and Montana. This journey included professional level education and certification including a Pro 2 and Course Leader certification from AIARE.

You’ve met Andy in every ski town you’ve been to around the West. He’s tuned your skis, fixed your boots, poured you a beer, foamed up your latte, and maybe even broken trail for you. He loves drinking ridiculously strong coffee on frigid mornings at shady trailheads while trying to cram his feet into frozen ski boots as the sun comes up.

And of course…He LOVES talking about snow, snow crystals, slabs, ski lines, you name it.
