Our guided camping trips offer a seamless outdoor experience, from setting up camp to exploring beautiful natural landscapes. Our expert guides handle all the logistics, lead outdoor activities, and even help with campfire cooking. It’s a worry-free adventure where you can relax and fully immerse yourself in nature.
Do I need any prior camping experience to join a guided camping trip?
No experience is necessary! Our guided camping trips are designed for everyone, from first-time campers to seasoned outdoor enthusiasts. Our guides provide all the support you need, teaching skills like setting up tents, cooking over a campfire, and navigating the outdoors, so you can enjoy a fun and educational experience.
What types of activities can be included in the guided camping trip?
This combined program covers the full curriculum of both the Level 1 and Rescue courses. You’ll learn basic avalanche awareness, route planning, decision-making, beacon use, companion rescue techniques, and emergency response protocols. The hands-on field days provide practical experience to build your confidence and competence in backcountry travel and rescue operations.
How is meal preparation handled during the camping trip?
We offer flexible meal planning options. For an additional fee, our guides can create a meal plan, handle food shopping, and lead the cooking process. Alternatively, you can bring your own food and participate in shared meal preparation. It’s a great way to enjoy the camaraderie of group cooking while enjoying delicious campfire meals.

Colorado is home to some of the world’s most spectacular mountain ranges. With fifty three 14,000 foot peaks, abundant wildlife and clear mountain streams throughout, Colorado is an excellent choice for a family camping trip.
Enjoy a private campground, a variety of activities such as rock climbing or or survival skills camps, and the camaraderie of group meal preparation**. Our professional backcountry guides handle the logistics and lead the adventure, ensuring a memorable outdoor experience.
We are happy to customize a guided camping adventure to suit. Options range from multiday backpacking trips to overnight car camping trips. Or consider a camping trip with a day or two of rock climbing. All age, fitness and ability levels are welcome.
**Meal Planning Options:
- Our guides can create a meal plan and handle food shopping for an additional $50 per day, with the client covering all food costs.
- Alternatively, clients are welcome to bring their own food.
Please note that meal preparation is a shared activity. While the guide takes the lead, everyone participates in the cooking process.
